The following is an update at Garland Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts facilities and parks. 

When visiting our parks and facilities, please plan accordingly and continue to comply with physical distancing guidelines of a minimum of 6 feet from anyone not in your household. In addition, please comply with all City, County, State, and Federal guidelines, which include but are not limited to, wash your hands; avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth; cover your mouth and nose with elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze, and stay home if you feel sick and remember to wear your face coverings.


* Parks, Playgrounds, and Trails

* Outdoor Sport Courts + Audubon Disc Golf Course
- tennis, basketball, volleyball, cricket and others.

* All Athletic Game Fields

* Recreation Centers open at 25% capacity, includes Body Shop Fitness Centers

* Fall Recreation Programs Schedule
- Fall camps, programs, and classes are available but are limited to small group sizes. Call your nearest recreation center for details. Register for classes and camps today on

Special Events

Restricted to 10 persons or less, per the Governor’s Open Texas Guidelines. Monitor the City’s Special Events calendar and for scheduling updates.


Senior meals will only be picked up at Garland Activity Center. Any new seniors wishing to participate in the meal program, please call Garland Senior Activity Center, 972-205-2769, 600 W. Avenue A, Garland, TX 75040.
