Coronavirus (COVID-19)

March 30, 2020:

As of 2 p.m. Monday, March 30, the Garland Health Department (GHD) has received reports of 35 confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Garland residents, as well as one death. The City will update our posted case numbers each afternoon after 2 p.m. Check the Dallas County website for county-wide updates.

The status of various City functions is updated on the City Service Updates page. 

The City of Garland is working closely with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other regional partners to ensure the City has best practices in place for our employees and our community.
